Get ready Acadia Parish! CYT is coming to Crowley.
If you have never seen a CYT production you are in for quite the experience. We have been to a few of their productions in Lafayette, including Phantom of the Opera and it was phenomenal. We are thrilled to welcome Christian Youth Theatre to Acadia Parish providing an exciting opportunity for local talented youth and for the community to experience the arts.
What is CYT?
Christian Youth Theater (CYT) is the largest after-school theater arts training program in the nation with ffiliates across the country offering classes in drama, music, dance, technical theater, and more! Each local program conducts three ten-week sessions (Fall, Winter, and Spring) teaching drama, voice, dance, and specialty theatrical workshops at weekly two-hour classes.
CYT programs offer camps and classes for ages 4-18, and full-scale productions for ages 8-18. Enrolled students have the opportunity to audition and perform (or work behind-the-scenes) in a Broadway-style musical performed for the community under the direction of professional instructors.
CYT Acadia will offer the opportunity for local students to audition and perform in classes beginning this Fall.
