Taking a family vacation can be exciting and fun. An hours-long drive to get there, maybe not so-much, especially with kids in tow. Now, we are parents and we understand a long road trip may be an exception when it comes to following a screen time rule and just allowing the kids to have their devices for the duration of the trip, but it's still important to give them breaks at a time.
With this in mind, there's a great way to help them unplug from the electronics and connect with the world around them while they're passing through.
Road Trip Scavenger Hunt
These free printable scavenger hunt pages can make a boring, mundane drive a little bit more exciting as the kids get excited when they spy something on the list they can check off! I happen to know this first-hand after planning for a 7+ hour road trip with activities to keep the kids occupied. I printed out 2 different scavenger hunt pages for my 10-year old and my 13 year old to give them for the ride. Much to my surprise they were both equally excited about the challenge.
