An exciting opportunity for Louisiana high school students is being offered through a sponsorship with the Louisiana Rice Promotion Board, designed for students in grades 9–12.
Growing Careers: Beyond the Rice Field is a one-day field study that gives students a closer look at career options in agriculture and highlights the work being done at the H. Rouse Caffey Rice Research Station. It’s a great chance to learn more about Louisiana rice production and explore ag-related careers.
Applications are currently open until September 30 for the event on October 21.
It’s open to all Louisiana students in grades 9–12 and not limited to 4-H or FFA members. Space is limited to 30 participants, and an application is required.
